Belonging 700 years ago to Pere Margarit, a captain serving under the orders of Cristopher Columbus. Today, its Dutch owner Albert Dikas has transformed this magnificent castle into a four star hotel. The unique personal style enjoyed in this hotel was achieved through the creativity and international experience of its owner.
The ideal place to enjoy the good things life has to offer. The hotel restaurant combines an informal style and exquisite home cooking. Surrounded by a typical olive orchard, a pond, a waterfall, a terrace where cocktails are served, and a dreamlike pool.
The rooms are decorated by original design with peculiar objects imported from China, India, and Morrocco. All rooms have splendid views of the Baix Empordá.
The castle was built in the XIV century in gothic style, conserving many vestiges of its old romantic tradition. The most impressive historical document here is dated March 18, 1301.
