Peratallada was cited for the first time in a document dated 1065, but without a doubt, she is far older. In 1964 the castle was restored with maximum archeological rigor. The original construction has been brought back to life to its perfect medieval grandeur.

The rooms have been carefully restored, respecting the style of the medieval era. Each room has a representative name and a charm which deserves every detail contained within. The rooms situated on the upper floors, the garden, or in the north wing of the castle allow magnificent views to add to an already relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The ruins found during the restoration of the castle indicate that it had been inhabited during the Bronze Age and through the years, successive cultures have left behind part of their legacy and culture.
Entrance to the installations is made by crossing a drawbridge, across the wall which is presided over by the monumental Homage Tower high atop a platform of cut rock and leading to the Arms Patio, which accesses the different castle rooms.
